FocusRSS Terms of Use

1. Local RSS functionality

FocusRSS provides on-device RSS, Atom, and JSON Feed subscriptions, reading, Focus Cards, and summaries. Core RSS use does not require an account. The app is not a real-time monitoring service; refresh depends on the device, network, and source servers.

2. User-provided RSS sources

You are responsible for ensuring you are authorized to access, import, and use the feeds you provide and for complying with source terms and applicable law. Do not use FocusRSS to bypass login, paywalls, or access restrictions.

3. User-provided AI endpoints

You may configure your own AI endpoint. You are responsible for its setup, API key, fees, outputs, and provider terms. Summary requests send the Focus question, your prompt, selected articles, and source URLs, but not your full subscription list.

4. Hosted AI, limits, and purchases

Hosted AI is disabled at launch. FocusRSS supports a lifetime purchase and an auto-renewable subscription for Hosted AI. Available benefits, price, billing period, and usage limits are shown at purchase. Hosted AI quotas or technical limits do not expand to your locally stored RSS data.

A lifetime purchase is charged once. An auto-renewable subscription is managed by Apple and renews unless canceled through Apple's subscription settings before the current period ends. Eligible purchases can be restored from the App Store using the same Apple ID.

5. Service availability

We do not guarantee that feeds, user AI endpoints, Hosted AI, network access, or background refresh will be continuous, error-free, or occur at an exact time. Features may be limited for maintenance, security, legal, or third-party service reasons.

6. Acceptable use

• Do not break the law, infringe rights, distribute malicious material, or interfere with services.
• Do not bypass authentication, paywalls, robots controls, anti-abuse systems, or security restrictions.
• Do not use feeds, AI endpoints, credentials, or another person's data without authorization.

7. Content and AI output

Feed content comes from third parties and AI output may be inaccurate. Review original sources and take responsibility for decisions based on content or output. FocusRSS does not grant ownership of third-party content.

8. Apple Standard EULA

When the app is obtained through Apple's App Store, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies. These terms add FocusRSS-specific product, AI, and purchase terms without excluding non-waivable Apple terms or legal rights.
